AUTOPSY & MEDICAL RESEARCH SERVICES

Services for Attorneys

Litigation of cases is thorough and meticulous. Pathologix functions as a neutral service at all times. We seek the truth of the case regardless of who has made the case request. Our approach is grounded in fact and evidence, professional and detailed reporting, research documentation, reason and analysis, and over 23 years of experience. Dr. Feczko has testified in over 300 cases, including both criminal and civil courts. I have the professionalism and aptitude for compassion to connect with the jurors. I also have the vast experience and knowledge during depositions.

Our forensic pathologists provide independent and unbiased opinion, which may assist lawyers in medical malpractice and wrongful death cases, and are available to testify as expert witness in court.

Pathologix has developed a reputation in Indiana courts and we have provided valuable support for many law firms. We give voice to the truth by providing you with impeccable quality. Pathologix provides timely reports, consistent medically proven facts; medical uncertainty is minimized through specialized testing, chart review, and application of reasoned medical context; and contact with third parties is minimized to prevent the perception of influence and bias.

Communication with Pathologix

Typically, you will get a complete discussion of the preliminary results right after the case is performed; a copy of the Provisional Diagnosis mailed to you at 48 hours; and relevant photographs included with the Provisional Diagnosis.

After the initial phone discussion, contact is typically limited to discussions of logistics. Case content is typically next discussed after completion of the report. This process allows our work to stand at trial without the possibility of the perception of influence. This approach allows the truth of the report to stand untouched by tactical maneuvers of an undermining nature.

Timeliness of Reports

The Provisional Diagnosis and relevant photographs will be mailed to you at 48 hours. The Final Report will be mailed to you typically within 30-60 days.

Ancillary Documentation

Depending on the case, the report will include photography, laboratory test results, medical chart citations, diagrams and/or illustration of relevant case anatomy.

Chart or Case Review

Pathologix can review cases where there was a prior autopsy performed; contract for chart review in cases of wrongful death; or consider the possibility of exhumation in specific circumstances.
